The Better Health Channel provides free, quality assured, up-to-date health and medical information in an easy to understand format and language. The site is funded by the Victorian state government and does not allow corporate sponsorship or commercial advertising. Information on ME/CFS is listed under chronic fatigue syndrome.

Gluten Free Eating Directory

The Gluten Free Eating Directory enables you to search for information about businesses that cater well for gluten free diets. Find eateries, shops; gluten free products, manufacturers, services, publications, online shops and accommodation. The directory is also available as a smart phone app.

Health Direct Australia provides access to professional health information and is funded by national and state governments. Services include a 24 hour nursing advice line, online health information and the National Health Service Directory (see details below).

Medicines line is a telephone service that provides consumers with information on

Prescriptions, over the counter and complementary (herbal, natural, vitamin and mineral) medicines. Some of the Information provided by medicines line includes:

  • how a medicine works
  • side effects
  • drug interactions
  • referrals

National Health Services Directory

The National Health Service Directory provides an online search function to find health services such as GPs, pharmacies and hospitals in your local area.
