Funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council Deakin University and Barwon Health, the CHROMIC study aims to improve the understanding of the disorder as well as to look for new treatments for ME/CFS.
To take part in the study, only one appointment is required of the participants. This appointment includes the collection of a blood sample. Individuals participating can also choose to donate blood to the ME/CFS Biobank to help fuel other research projects within this same appointment. The second part of this study requires participants to complete surveys online at their own pace.
Two kinds of volunteers are needed for the study:
- Individuals with a diagnosis of ME/CFS
- Individuals with no known disease (healthy controls)
To be eligible to enrol in the study you must be:
- Male or female, 18-65 years old
- Not currently pregnant
- Not currently enrolled in a clinical trial
This study will not involve any costs for the participant however, it is based in Geelong Victoria, and travel will be required for participants outside of this area. Once enrolled in the study, you will receive a gift voucher for up to $40 to cover any travel costs.
