Changes to the Support and Services programs

Patient Pathways telehealth pilot program

Our Patient Pathways telehealth pilot program will be completed on June 30, 2022.

Emerge Australia would like to thank the Centre for Community-Driven Research (CC-DR) for including us in this program. Over the next couple of months, we will start to create a new Telehealth Nurse referral process and provide an additional service to support people with specific goals. The availability of this service will depend on increased financial support.

National Patient Support and Information Service

The National Patient Support and Information Service Line will be staffed by our Emerge Australia nurse with 1:1 nursing support provided by the Patient Pathways program.

Over the next 6 weeks, you may notice some changes to the Telehealth Nurse and Patient Support and Information webpages, but please be assured that we are here to help, and we thank you for your patience during this time.

Emerge Australia continues to evaluate all support services as we advocate for increased financial support for our programs.  Our patient support team will focus on delivering four National programs that aim to provide patients with information, education, professional 1:1 support, and online virtual peer support groups.

Online community groups

Our online community groups have been extremely popular and provided a facilitated online meeting space for many people within our community. We are currently taking expression of interest for people who live with ME/CFS and their carers and hope to have all groups open for booking later in the year.
