Purpose of the Role
Emerge Australia is seeking support from a skilled communicator to connect by phone with donors, extend our appreciation and activate conversion to gifts in will ie gift of a bequest. The purpose of this role is to strengthen Emerge Australia’s capacity to support those impacted by ME/CFS through building a revenue base that will assure our services.
Reporting to the Business Development Lead and working collaboratively with others, this role will be responsible for contacting nominated community members, completing an interview, updating information in a database and building good will for Emerge Australia
Key Selection Criteria
- Understanding of, and commitment to, Emerge Australia’s vision and mission
- Demonstrated communications skills – particularly telephone engagement
- Capacity to maintain records in a spreadsheet or similar
- Time management and adherence to deadlines.
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience to work independently and seek out guidance when needed
- Previous experience telemarketing is highly desirable
- Flexible and adaptable to change
- Reliable and conscientious approach to volunteering
