We are thrilled to announce that Emerge Australia was awarded a Connecting Carers in their Community Grant from Carers Victoria, funded by the Victorian Government. This grant will enhance our support and resources for carers of people with ME/CFS and long COVID.
Commencing early in 2024, “Reach Out – Connecting Carers of People with ME/CFS and long COVID” will engage with families and carers of people who are newly diagnosed, carers of young people and adults and carers of people who are bedbound. We especially want to reach out to those who may not self-identify as carers living in rural and regional Victoria who may isolated and be unaware of how to access support for themselves and the person they care for.
The program will improve social and peer support connections and relationships between Victorian carers of people with ME/CFS and long COVID, helping to reduce social isolation and improve connection with local support services.
