It’s been an unbelievably busy period in the last month and hard to believe that we are almost at Easter 2024! So much happening and so little time.
Below you will read about our Round Table meeting at Parliament House in Canberra on 27 March. This event is designed specifically to ‘shine a light’ on Recommendation 8 of the Long COVID Inquiry. This event is not a conference but rather a meeting of representatives of the patient and carer community, clinicians and researchers. The meeting is designed specifically to deliver outcomes in the form of a White Paper with recommendations for presentation to Government.
Emerge Australia wishes to acknowledge Open Medicine Foundation and a private donor who have provided financial support enabling us to stage this important meeting.
At the time of writing this brief report we are exploring ways in which the ME/CFS and Long COVID community members unable to attend in person are able to have input. As the meeting will be live audio streamed only, we need those who wish to join via audio to register by close of business on 21 March at which stage further instructions will be provided.
