Information about COVID-19 vaccination is rapidly changing. This can be confusing, especially when each state may have different eligibility criteria. That’s why we have created a hub to help the ME/CFS community find the information appropriate for each state and territory, all in one spot. The links provided below lead directly to both Federal and State Health Department’s most up-to-date vaccination information.
Emerge Australia is providing this information so that people living with ME/CFS who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 can easily find out when they are eligible and how to get the vaccine. We are aware that the decision to get vaccinated or not is complex, and as an organisation Emerge Australia cannot provide advice on whether getting the vaccine is right for you as an individual. Emerge Australia encourages patients to consult with their healthcare team to decide if vaccination is right for them.
The information below is provided by both State and Federal Health Departments and is subject to change.

Reporting side effects
If you do receive vaccination for COVID-19, you will be provided with information on possible common and rare side effects. In the event you think you have had an abnormal response to the vaccine, you can report it as an “adverse event”. The Therapeutic Goods Administration provides accurate information on how to do this.
