Home and Community Care (HACC)

If you’re not eligible for the NDIS and live in QLD, TAS or VIC, you may be able to access some support through state funding with a small copaymentThese programs are funded by the Australian Government through the Home and Community Care (HACC) project. Each state have a different name for their program and if you know of an additional state offering this support that has been missed please reach out to us. 

The program aims to provide essential assistance and empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible in their homes. Managed and funded by the Department of Health, people wanting to access HACC can do this using the links below.  

Queensland

Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) 

Tasmanian

The Tasmanian Community Care Referral Service (TCCRS)  

Victoria

Home and Community Care for Younger People (HACC PYP)

The above programs vary, but in general cater to individuals under 65 years of age and First Nations People under 50 years of age who require support with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, domestic assistance, property upkeep, accessing the community, and public transportation. These individuals may have physical and/or psychosocial impairments due to disability, chronic illness, or short-term health issues and are ineligible for NDIS support.
