Hello to all our supporters and readers of the Emerge Australia newsletter!
Hello to all our supporters and readers of the Emerge Australia newsletter!
The last several weeks have been taken up with planning and executing our Action Forum, From Stigma to Science: Educating for change. You can read about the event further here, suffice to say we are delighted the forum went so well and are grateful to our wonderful speakers and participants who made the event so inspiring and informative.
In the week following our Action Forum I was asked to speak as part of a consumer organisations panel talking on the importance of indoor air quality at the Safer Air Project event held in Australian Parliament House Canberra on 6 November.
On top of these highly successful events our team has been busy supporting patients and their carers, report writing, developing funding submissions and writing comms for social media as part of our end of year fundraising. In addition our AusME Registry continues to work with new requests for access and our clinical education staff work with our MSAC members to finalise the plan for clinical education in 2026. Development of our new merchandise store has taken up a lot of time and we will be launching our store very soon, just in time for Christmas shopping.
As I write this note, Dr. Michelle Tavoletti and I are at the NCNED Conference in Coolangatta listening to renowned speakers sharing their latest ME/CFS research.
Thank you to all who actively support us – we value your loyalty. If you are thinking of ways in which you can support us – why not put a team together to raise funds for Power our Practitioners – raising much needed funds to continue our GP Education Program so critical to diagnosis, treatment and management of ME/CFS. I hope you enjoy this second last edition of our Newsletter and as always feel free to drop me a line if I can be of any assistance.
