AMIDA: Action for More Independence and Dignity in Accommodation

Description: Two advocacy services for people with disabilities: housing advocacy, and NDIS appeals advocacy.
Association for Children with a Disability
Location: Victoria
Description: Support line for families of children aged 0 to 18 with disability in Victoria. They can help you understand your child’s rights and support you to advocate for your child and family, including support navigating the NDIS. Workers can also call the helpline. They have good NDIS resources.
Disability Justice Australia
Location: Victoria
Description: NDIS appeals support is in Victoria only. Mobile program.
Disability Liaison Officer Program
Location: Victoria
Description: The Disability Liaison Officer program supports people with disability to access healthcare. Most people seek help for essential health needs, such as:
- help with barriers to booking appointments
- arranging reasonable adjustments
- mobility/physical support
- communication assistance
- psychosocial support.
DRC Advocacy

Description: Advocates can assist with DSP and NDIS applications (No ART appeals)
Legal Aid
Location: Victoria
Description: If you currently have an NDIS appeal at the AAT, they can provide a free, one-off one-hour legal advice session with a laywer.
Social and Security Rights Victoria Workers Help Line
Location: Victorian
Description: Workers’ help line where you can ask questions about Centrelink.
