Michelle joined Emerge Australia in 2021.
Michelle was awarded her PhD in 2007. She is a biomedical researcher and translational research leader, with experience spanning academic laboratory science, first-in-human translational research, and national research infrastructure leadership.
Since joining Emerge Australia, Michelle has served as Research Manager, overseeing Emerge Australia’s research interests and leading the strategic development and governance of the Australian ME/CFS and long COVID (AusME) Registry and Biobank—Australia’s national research platform for these conditions. Her work spans research strategy, ethics and governance, registry and biobank operations, data and biospecimen access, and national and international research collaborations.
