Dr Michelle Tavoletti, PhD

Research Manager

Michelle is a biomedical and translational researcher with experience spanning academic laboratory science, first-in-human translational research, and leadership in national research infrastructure.

Since joining Emerge Australia in 2021, Michelle has served as Research Manager, overseeing Emerge Australia’s research interests and leading the strategic development and governance of the Australian ME/CFS and long COVID (AusME) Registry and Biobank—Australia’s national research platform for these conditions. Her work spans research strategy, ethics and governance, registry and biobank operations, data and biospecimen access, and national and international research collaborations.

Michelle applies her training in experimental design and translational science to advancing rigorous, patient-centred ME/CFS and long COVID research, with a focus on delivering meaningful impact for people living with ME/CFS, long COVID and associated conditions.
