Sarah Brown

Advocacy and Policy Manager

Sarah first connected with Emerge Australia early in 2023 when we sought her advice on a tender. She is leading advocacy and policy whilst Rochelle Lade is on parental leave.

Sarah brings vast operational, research, policy and advocacy experience spanning almost 30 years. She has managed health services across primary, secondary and tertiary care and held senior leadership and executive roles at Alfred Health, Monash Health, Frankston-Mornington Peninsula Medicare Local and Primary Health Networks. For the last six years she has provided consulting services to the health and community sectors as the managing director of Victorian Health Consulting.

Sarah’s chronic and complex care experience provided great insights into the challenges that people living with long-term diseases face. Sarah is driven to use this experience, along with her government and departmental connections, to advocate for increased resourcing for Emerge Australia to support ME/CFS patients and people living with long COVID
